So Mother's day was yesterday. What a sweet tradition.I read this at a church website and appreciated so much the stance this assembly takeson the family and mothers~ Some Church distinctives Although we offer Sunday School classes for younger children we believe it is the responsibility of the parents to nurture a life of faith in their children. We believe in parent-driven children's and youth activities that nurture a strong bond between young and old. We believe in the sanctity of the Christian home where Fathers and Mothers are committed to training up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We believe God's Word teaches the sacredness of Motherhood as being the highest calling upon a woman's life. We believe that her greatest potential for fulfillment in life is being what God designed her to be - a "life-giver". We encourage home schooling for reaching the highest potential of a child's life and future. My family made Mother's day very special for me..jpg)

I love the song: His Robes For Mine, because of the Biblical view in that song. His robes for mine(by Chris Anderson) His robes for mine: O wonderful exchange! Clothed in my sin, Christ suffered ‘neath God’s rage. Draped in His righteousness, I’m justified. In Christ I live, for in my place He died. Chorus: I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost: Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God. Bought by such love, my life is not my own. My praise-my all-shall be for Christ alone. His robes for mine: what cause have I for dread? God’s daunting Law Christ mastered in my stead. Faultless I stand with righteous works not mine, Saved by my Lord’s vicarious death and life. His robes for mine: God’s justice is appeased. Jesus is crushed, and thus the Father’s pleased. Christ drank God’s wrath on sin, then cried “‘Tis done!” Sin’s wage is paid; propitiation won. His robes for mine: such anguish none can know. Christ, God’s beloved, condemned as though His foe. He, as though I, accursed and left alone; I, as though He, embraced and welcomed home! Many folks want to blame the Jewish people for being "the Christ killer"...Hitler did, Martin Luther did, many others have and the hatred for God's chosen people continues.
I always wonder why the Romans don't have any blame there...Jesus came to earth to be the Messiah of the Jewish people and Savior of all who will turn to Him alone for salvation from their sin
...it's power and it's consequences. If Christ (the Messiah of the Jewish people--Israel) had not died and taken on our sin, we would have no way whatsoever to reach God, Jesus/Yeshua is the ONLY way! It is not by becoming law-keepers and religious ritual keepers who think more highly of themselves than of "those Jews". Ephesians 2: And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ ( by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. 11 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “ Uncircumcision” by the so-called “ Circumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; 18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. nasb People are looking all over the place these days for a utopia here on earth. Professing Believers are rejecting their Lord by living for the here and now and not laying up their treasures in heaven. Train your children diligently, protect them, love them, point them to Jesus always...and share the gospel with others. It is not a one or the other thing. We're not called to mainly be do gooders without purpose. We are called to live life in loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. In other words, our whole being. But it is much easier just to sit around and debate theology as written by men in books past and present. People think that some how that gets them closer to God. No! It is a relationship with God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ as we live in His Spirit of Truth. His Spirit will guide our path and it will always be completely in line with His word of truth, not the many words of men of the past or present. ALL those men were merely men, not to be worshipped, not to be followed. Don't ever accept the teaching of a person as a whole package...GO BACK TO SCRIPTURE. We say "sola scriptura" --and then refer people to a confession or a creed to "explain more clearly"...if you are sola scriptura, then be so! It is fine to agree with a statement or concept that someone states when it lines up with what God teaches in His word. However, we should be more clear that we are in agreement with that which we are referring to, not everything a teacher says. This generation is heaping up teachers for themselves (2 Timothy 4:3). Get into God's word daily, grow your relationship with Him as His child desiring to do His will in everything. God is good! He will guide you into what He knows is best for your life, but you must follow HIM, not men. Check everything taught with what scripture actually says, not with what they say it says...there may be a big difference! ***************************************************************************************************** .jpg)

We were just sent a picture of my Great-Grandmother When I was a little girl, I was scared of this picture that hung in my Great-Aunt's house. I had this daughter hold the picture and try to look like her. .jpg)
My mom said she rarely smiled, so it wasn't just for the picture
We've got lots of lettuce and other vegies in our garden this year. God is so kind to us. .jpg)
